Colorado has some pretty amazing locations to elope, but the one time of year that gets overlooked is winter. So today, I want to share with you 5 epic reasons to get married in the snow!

It’s less busy
Eloping in the winter means there’s going to be less traffic. The ski resorts will be busy, but there are still some accessible, wide open areas that will take your breath away! If you imagine yourself getting married in a field with nothing but snow around you, there is no better place than on the western slope of Colorado! We photograph elopements in the charming mountain towns of Telluride, Ouray and Ridgway, Colorado. It’s FUN!!!
Getting to some of these places surrounded by snow, means you might have to rent a snowmobile! For about $350, you and your partner can ride out into a winter wonderland in the mountains! Rentals usually last for about 4 hours and come with a guide, so there is safety knowing someone will be there if you need them. Riding around in the snow on a snowmobile with your dress blowing in the wind is an amazing sight and something you will talk about for the rest of your lives!
