100 Wedding Dresses to wear at your elopement!

If you're choosing to elope, you’ve already nearly eliminated all the stress from your wedding day (whew!) However, one necessary "to do” is deciding on a wedding dress.

You’re in luck, because we’ve put together a digital lookbook 100 elopement dresses to inspire you!

These are all real life brides whose elopements we have personally photographed over the last few years. We love showcasing each bride’s dress style – whether short or long, white or colored, vintage or Boho, simple or ballgown. We hope this gorgeous variety of wedding dresses gives you some inspiration for your own mountain adventure elopement! Here are some additional tips for choosing the perfect elopement dress!

  • Your dress will most likely get a little dirty… some get very dirty, but it all depends on the bride.

  • If your dress has tulle, it will flow effortlessly as you swish it back and forth, but it will probably catch a few leaves & bugs throughout the day.

  • The tighter the dress, the harder it is to get up to some locations. A slit in your dress helps you to step up easier and show off your leg!

  • Your dress can be any color you want! After all, you’re getting married on your terms… your dress doesn’t have to adhere to years of tradition.

  • If you want to wear a very full, dramatic dress, that’s ok! It will fit in Bruiser (our Landcruiser).

  • Some brides don’t want their dress to get dirty, because they are wearing it again for a reception at a later time. That’s no problem! I will do everything I can to help keep it clean.

  • I do everything I can to keep your dress clean before the ceremony. After that, depending on the bride, it’s game on for having fun and being adventurous!

  • For winter elopements, having pockets in your dress is great, because you can slip a hand warmer in there!

  • If your dress has straps around your arms, they are going to come off time and time again throughout the day.

  • The less amount of bustling you have to do to a dress in the mountains, the better.

  • Veils often come out when you’re up in the mountains… We can definitely get some pictures with it, but don’t plan on having it in all day.

  • If you’re getting married in winter, make sure you have a coat that accents your beautiful wedding dress.

  • And lastly, think about what you’re going to do with your dress afterward. Are you going to save it forever or get rid of it? Brides have recently started donating their dresses after they elope! If that’s your plan, you may not want to spend a lot of money on your dress.
