Elopement Silhouette

The greatest thing about silhouettes, is that you can take a silhouette anywhere in the world. Silhouettes are all about the photographer getting as low as they can to the ground and getting nothing behind the couple to obstruct the view of their silhouette.

During the shot, I like to keep the couple as close as they can be to each other without touching. This creates a stunning silhouette, but it always create a little banter between the couple, because they want so bad to be kissing each other… after all they just got eloped in Telluride!

Yes, Telluride is a beautiful place to get eloped, but the truth is that you can take a silhouette anywhere in the world. If your photographer knows what they are doing, they can make a back yard alley look as amazing as the most scenic places in Colorado.
